Our Results

It can be tricky to quantify success when it comes to marketing, often because it is carried out over a long period of time and across lots of different mediums. But it is possible, and it’s important to feel your spend is worthwhile. Here are some of our most recent pieces of work, which have led to good results:

– Introduced new labelling that doubled the sale of cakes for a client
– Helped secure national broadcast coverage which raised over £21,000 for a charity
– Achieved awareness figures for Wainwright’s Yard in Kendal (86.5% in an independent survey)
– Secured key national coverage for clients including: front cover of Times Travel, back page of the Financial Times House & Garden, eight page feature in Coast magazine, event feature in LandLove
– Procured two, three, four and five page features in county magazines including Cumbria Life and Lancashire Life
– Issued a picture story for a key local paper which drove visitors to a stand at an agricultural show
– Created monthly newsletters with a consistent open rate of 30% and an average click through of 15%
– Devised a pay per click campaign which contributed to a 98% online booking rate, cutting down on the need for more expensive printed materials
– Worked with local designers to create new packaging for Traditional Cumberland Sausages sold through ASDA stores locally
– Helped a local charity secure short-listing in three local and national awards by completing five awards applications

And this is how clients have valued our input:

“Using an agency felt like a big step for me, having ‘done’ most of Low Sizergh Barn’s marketing and PR myself. I was cautious about losing those things that seem unique to our family business. My fears proved to be unfounded. Right from the start Ten Stories’ intelligent and considered way of working showed that they really ‘got’ the business. I can’t recommend them highly enough.”
Alison Park, Low Sizergh Barn

“I have to admit that I can’t believe the amount of marketing and PR you manage to squeeze from this budget. When I look back and think what limited exposure I used to get for them from placing adverts in Cumbria Life then I can honestly say that you have transformed this marketing programme for Wainwright’s Yard.”
Patrick Naylor, Eric Wright Group

“The final number of visitors to the exhibition was 11,273, with a record number during the final Saturday! We were very pleased with the response despite the snow and ice during the beginning of the show. Thank you for your help and your expertise and guidance.”
Bridget Guest, Quaker Tapestry

“Ten Stories are a pleasure to work with. Their skill and reliability mean that they can be left alone to deal directly with our clients, many of whom now know them well and trust their work. They are creative and always hard working, effective and efficient. I can’t recommend them highly enough.”
Geoff Kershaw, The Challenge Factor

“Thanks for all of your hard work, and efforts! You have given us some of the best features and write ups, and it has been really good fun.”
“We have pieces in The Times, pieces on the local radio, huge features in the prime local lifestyle magazines – practically every edition, we have had local stories picked up by the nationals. You are doing a great job. Be proud.”
Stephen Holland and Aaron Cook, Carter Jonas LLP
