Communications Support for the Lake District National Park Authority
We provide a flexible, seamless extension to the Lake District National Park Authority’s (LDNPA) in-house communications team. It requires a good understanding of the range of their work, their communications challenges and the sometimes polarised views of how to look after England’s largest national park, which is also a World Heritage Site.
Our support covers a wide range of communication disciplines from branding, creating engaging messages, copywriting, content development and media training.
PR and Media Training:
The LDNPA recognises the importance of positive public relations. And the power of staff who can communicate naturally and easily about their work. We run media training sessions for a range of LDNPA staff and the feedback from these sessions is that they are invaluable in helping the team achieve their aim of positive public relations.
Communications Toolkit for Partners:
We developed a communications toolkit for 25 partners involved in the Lake District National Park Management Plan. It made it easy for all partners to invite people to comment on the draft plan, whatever their size and communications resource.
Awareness Campaigns:
We’ve helped on a number of campaigns to promote responsible enjoyment of the National Park. These include:
- Helping people to enjoy the Lake District responsibly in the busy summer months
- Encouraging participation in public consultations about the management plan for the park
- Writing a series of blogs about how the LDNPA is looking after the World Heritage Site
- Producing case studies about how farmers are using Farming in Protected Landscapes Funding grants
Testimonial:
“Ten Stories are a brilliant extension of our Communications team, providing a range of support from media training to partnership toolkits. Their can-do attitude, flair for creativity and depth of knowledge in communications means we know we’re in safe hands with Emma, Clare and Amy.”
